Breandán Breathnach Memorial Lecture: From New France to La Belle Province: Québec’s Traditional Soundscapes. Presented by Professor Gearóid Ó hAllmhuráin, School of Irish Studies, Concordia University, Montréal.

Lecture: ‘Songs of the People’: The Sam Henry Collection of Ulster Traditional Songs from the 1920s-1930s. Presented by Seán Corcoran,  singer, song collector  and lecturer in traditional music  at Mary Immaculate College, Limerick.

Lecture: ‘All the Ways to Galway ’: An Overview of Traditional Music Styles from East Galway. Presented by Claire Keville,  musician, composer and  researcher in  traditional music. Musicians from East Galway will demonstrate these styles.

Lecture: Welsh Medieval Harp Music: Structures and Parallels with Irish Music Traditions. Presented by Dr Paul Dooley, an expert on the metal-strung Irish harp and researcher in harp tuning and string-making techniques, and Ceri Owen Jones, Welsh harper, singer and researcher in traditional medieval Welsh  music.

Lecture: Who Feared Not the Might of the Foe: Songs and Poems of the War of Independence 1919-1921. Presented by Francy Devine and Pádraig Óg Ó Ruairc, historians of the Irish Revolutionary and Labour Movements. Traditional singers and musicians will perform songs, poems and music associated with the period.
